On top of that, it has a similar name, which is believed to be “Americanized” when French colonists brought Poque to North America to English-speaking settlers in the region, and poker history began to develop. Poque originated from France in around 1400s, and this game was played with 52 cards deck just as we play poker today.
It is believed that a popular card game from France named Poque is the godfather of poker.
